Trenton, NJ – Former radio host Bill Spadea has not conceded defeat or offered congratulations to Jack Ciattarelli, who won the New Jersey Republican gubernatorial primary on June 10.
Ciattarelli, a former state assemblyman, secured the GOP nomination with a decisive victory, defeating Spadea and other contenders. Spadea’s refusal to acknowledge Ciattarelli’s win has drawn criticism and exposed tensions within the state’s Republican Party.
Spadea, known for his conservative talk show, has remained silent on formally conceding. Instead, he has posted on social media, vowing to “continue our fight” and criticizing party elites. In one post, Spadea declared, “Happy to disappoint the haters, but we aren’t going anywhere,” signaling his intent to stay politically active without supporting Ciattarelli.
Ciattarelli, celebrating his victory in Holmdel, emphasized unity and outlined a vision for New Jersey focused on affordability, public safety, and education reform.
“This campaign has always been about people, not politics—about vision, not division,” he said. He has now turned his attention to the general election, where he will face the Democratic nominee in November.
When asked about Spadea’s comments, Ciattarelli brushed them off, stating, “I don’t pay too much attention to what Bill Spadea says.”
