Shotspotter tech helps police located multiple gunshot victims in worcester

WORCESTER, MA – On November 11, 2020 at approximately 9:30 PM Worcester police received a ShotSpotter activation in the vicinity of 64 Madison Street. Upon arrival, officers located two gunshot victims. One victim was identified as 22-year-old Timothy Kane. The other victim was identified as a 16-year-old male of Worcester.

Officers were notified that a third victim was dropped off at a local emergency room. This victim was identified as 22-year-old Kasheme Craig.

During the investigation, detectives learned that the shooting took place after a confrontation transpired between two groups.

Timothy Kane, 22, of 32 Huntington Ave. Worcester was charged with Improperly Storing a Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, and possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.

The 16-year-old male of Worcester was charged with Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, Armed Assault to Murder, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Interfering with a Police Officer.

Kasheme Craig, 22, of 3 Bigelow Road, Rutland was charged with Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, two counts of Armed Assault to Murder, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Interfering with a Police Officer.

The investigation is ongoing.
