Suspect Arrested in Connection with Manassas Stabbing Incident

MANASSAS, VA—Police have arrested 23-year-old Danaisa Xiane Matthews following a stabbing incident that occurred on May 24 at a residence in the 8500 block of Charnwood Ct. in Manassas. Matthews was apprehended on May 27 and is now facing charges of malicious wounding.

The incident unfolded when police were called to the scene at approximately 6:11 PM on May 24, where they found a 22-year-old man who had been stabbed in the leg. The investigation indicated that the victim and Matthews, who are acquaintances, had a verbal altercation that escalated, leading to the stabbing.

Matthews, who resides at 9801 Shallow Creek Loop in Manassas, fled the scene following the altercation but was subsequently located and arrested by the authorities. The victim received medical treatment at a local hospital, where police were initially alerted to the incident.

Details regarding Matthews’ court date and bond status are currently pending as the case moves forward.
