MANASSAS, VA—A domestic dispute escalated into violence resulting in the arrest of Jerome Cochuran-Daniels in Manassas on May 28. Prince William County Police were called to a residence in the 10800 block of Balls Ford Road at 11:23 AM following reports of the altercation.

The investigation revealed that during a verbal dispute with a 20-year-old female family member, Cochuran-Daniels struck the woman and attempted to prevent her from leaving by grabbing her neck. The altercation was eventually defused, and the parties separated. However, when police arrived and attempted to engage with Cochuran-Daniels, he refused to comply with their commands and resisted arrest. During the confrontation, he also struck one of the responding officers.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the incident. Cochuran-Daniels was arrested and faces charges of strangulation and assault & battery of a law enforcement officer.
