**Frankford, DE** – Delaware State Police have arrested 18-year-old Kelvin Wescott from Seaford, Delaware, in connection with a shooting incident that occurred in Frankford in February.

On February 2, at approximately 1:00 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a shooting on the 28000 block of Gum Tree Road. A 41-year-old male victim was discovered to have been shot and was transported to the Frankford Fire Company. He was later taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.

According to the investigation, a dispute at a residence led to the shooting, with the suspect fleeing the scene afterward. Detectives identified Wescott as the suspect and apprehended him in Millsboro on February 28 without incident. During the arrest, they found .060 grams of heroin on his person.

Wescott was subsequently taken to Troop 4 for processing, charged with several offenses, and arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive 51-year-old male. The individual was transported to a local hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.
