Man Arrested in Utica Stabbing Incident

**Utica, NY** – On Sunday, October 27th, at around 11:00 PM, Utica Police responded to Wynn Hospital for a stabbing investigation. The victim reported a domestic dispute at his home, during which his girlfriend allegedly cut him with a knife.

The victim sustained a facial cut and defensive wounds on his hands and arms. After gathering necessary details, officers proceeded to the 900 block of Arnold Ave, where the incident was said to have occurred.

At the scene, police found evidence supporting the victim’s account. The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Taneka Davis, was detained and charged.

Davis faces charges of second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She was taken to the Utica Police Department following her arrest.

**Utica, NY** – Thursday, Utica police responded to a weapon possession and menacing incident on the 1000 block of Miller Street around 10:30 AM.

A bicycle delivery driver reported a confrontation with a man on a porch. During their exchange, the suspect picked up and threw a stick at the delivery driver.

Following the initial incident, the suspect returned inside his residence, only to come out pointing a handgun at the delivery driver, who contacted the police. Responding officers apprehended the individual and conducted a search of his apartment.

The search led to the discovery of a 9mm handgun. Lauren Smith, 24, of Utica, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second and third degrees, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and Menacing in the second degree.

Utica Police Charge Suspect in Criminal Mischief Case

**Utica, NY** – The Utica Police Department investigated a criminal mischief incident reported in late August where a surveillance camera recorded an individual causing damage to a property on the 1200 block of Kemble Street. The damages were estimated to exceed $6,500.

Following the incident, the case was handed over to the Criminal Investigations Division. With support from the Mohawk Valley Crime Analysis Center and New York State Parole, a suspect was successfully identified.

On Tuesday, police located and arrested the suspect, Ryan Anderson, 53, from Utica. Anderson has been charged with criminal mischief in the second degree.

Motorcycle and Van Collide in Utica

**Utica, NY** – Utica Police and Fire departments responded to a vehicle and motorcycle accident at the intersection of Faxton St and Oneida St at approximately 4:00 PM on Tuesday.

The motorcycle operator sustained serious injuries and was initially transported to Wynn Hospital. Due to the severity of the injuries, further care was provided at a hospital in Syracuse.

Investigations reveal that a transport van collided with the motorcycle as it turned from Oneida St onto Faxton St.
