Employee backed away after suspect activated stun gun
GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Two men are being sought after one of them activated a Taser while stealing merchandise from a Glen Burnie Dick’s Sporting Goods, forcing an employee to back away before the pair fled the store, police said.
The robbery occurred at approximately 9:05 p.m. Monday at Dick’s Sporting Goods in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway.
According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the two suspects entered the store and began concealing merchandise before attempting to leave without paying.
When an employee confronted them, one of the suspects activated a Taser, causing the employee to retreat, police said.
The suspects then left the store with the merchandise and fled the area.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Regional Crimes Unit is investigating.
Police described one suspect as a Black male wearing a white shirt, orange tiger-striped pants, white sneakers and a white Washington Redskins hat. The second suspect is described as a Black male wearing a white shirt, a tan hat and ripped light-washed jeans.
