Teen Among Three Arrested for Stealing U-Haul and Fleeing Police in Baltimore

CENTRAL DISTRICT, MD — law enforcement officials apprehended three males early Monday morning following a traffic violation and subsequent pursuit involving a U-Haul box truck. The incident occurred around 3:19 AM in the 400 block of South Broadway.

Upon noticing the traffic infraction, officers attempted to stop the vehicle, which then failed to comply, leading to a pursuit. The chase escalated as the driver continued to disregard traffic laws. Support was called in from the County Air and Central District Action Team.

The chase concluded when the suspects abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. They were captured near the Central Booking Intake Facility. A 380-caliber handgun was recovered, and it was discovered that the U-Haul had not been leased to any of the suspects.
