Teen charged with making threats against Pennsylvania school, students

LATROBE, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police have charged a 17-year-old boy with making threats on social media against Greater Latrobe Junior High School and two students, authorities said.

The threats were posted in a Snapchat group message and were directed at two female students, ages 15 and 16, along with the school, according to troopers.

A school resource officer reported the threats to state police, leading to an investigation.

The boy was charged as a juvenile with terroristic threats.

State Police said there are no ongoing safety concerns for the school or its students.

Authorities credited swift reporting with preventing any potential danger.
