TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Thousands of brightly colored eggs will blanket Castle Park in Toms River on Saturday morning as the township hosts its annual Easter Egg Hunt, featuring more than 20,000 eggs, a DJ, and an appearance by the Easter Bunny.

UPDATE from Toms River Township: Due to the weather forecast, Toms River Recreation is rescheduling the Easter Egg Hunt originally planned for this Saturday at Castle Park, to this Saturday 4-19-25.  I attached the new flyer.

The Toms River Recreation Department, under the direction of Mayor Dan Rodrick, is organizing the large-scale community event scheduled for April 19 at 9 a.m., with a rain date set for April 13. Children ages 1–5 will search for eggs in Field A, while ages 6–10 will use Field B. A low-sensory field will also be available for children with sensory sensitivities.

Attendees are encouraged to bring baskets to collect eggs. The event will be held at Castle Park, located at 1540 N Bay Ave, Toms River. Additional parking will be available at Bey Lea Park, Youth Services, the Police Department, and Bey Lea Golf Course.

Community extras and special access

A highlight of the morning will be a “special delivery” from the Toms River Fire Department, whose fire truck will make an appearance during the festivities. A DJ will provide music, and the Easter Bunny is scheduled to meet and greet families throughout the event.
