Toms River wraps up plowing operations, mayor urges residents to report any missed streets

Toms River, NJ – Township crews have completed snow plowing on all streets following this week’s powerful winter storm, officials announced Monday morning. Mayor Dan Rodrick said that while the bulk of the cleanup is finished, residents should reach out if any areas were missed.

“All streets in town should be plowed by now,” the township stated in an update posted on social media. “If your street was not plowed, Mayor Rodrick encourages you to text the name of the street to 848-349-7935.”

The DPW has now shifted to applying salt across Toms River’s streets to prevent refreezing and improve traction as temperatures drop overnight. Officials reminded drivers to remain cautious of potential icy patches, particularly on shaded and secondary roads.

The township’s snow removal operations began over the weekend as the storm dropped nearly a foot of snow across much of Ocean County, snarling traffic and prompting temporary travel advisories.
