TRENTON, N.J. – A 32-year-old Trenton man has been charged with murder in connection with an early-morning shooting on East State Street that killed an Ewing man and wounded a second person, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
Isiah Greene was arrested Thursday following a motor vehicle stop in Bordentown by the New Jersey State Police, prosecutors announced Friday. The prosecutor’s office has filed a motion seeking to keep Greene detained while the case is pending.
The charges stem from an Aug. 2 shooting in the 300 block of East State Street that killed 32-year-old Jemear Miller of Ewing. Investigators said another man suffered a gunshot wound that was not considered life-threatening.

Shooting Followed Large Disturbance on East State Street
Trenton police were dispatched to the 300 block of East State Street at approximately 3:37 a.m. Aug. 2 for reports of a large disturbance and shots fired, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Responding officers found Miller in front of 319 East State Street suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A second adult male shooting victim arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle, prosecutors said. His injury was described as non-life-threatening.
The homicide prompted an investigation by the Mercer County Homicide Task Force and Mercer County Shooting Response Team. The case adds to the violent-crime investigations being handled by authorities in Mercer County.
Greene Arrested During Bordentown Traffic Stop
Investigators identified Greene as a suspect, and he was taken into custody Thursday during a motor vehicle stop in Bordentown by state police, according to the prosecutor’s office.
“Isiah Greene, 32, of Trenton, is charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and certain persons not to possess a weapon,” the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said in its announcement.
Prosecutors have filed a motion to detain Greene pending trial. The office did not provide additional details Friday about what investigators allege led them to Greene or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
