New Jersey State Police release suspect image in push to identify man

UPPER TOWNSHIP, NJ – A shoplifting suspect walked into a Cape May County CVS and allegedly made off with approximately $1,100 in merchandise, and New Jersey State Police are now turning to the public for help identifying the man.

The theft occurred at approximately 11:51 a.m. June 5 at the CVS on Route 9 in Upper Township, according to State Police.

Investigators said the man entered the store and stole about $1,100 worth of merchandise.

Police did not disclose what products were taken or provide additional details about how the theft unfolded.

State Police released an image of the person sought in connection with the investigation.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man who was wearing a blue T-shirt and black shorts at the time of the incident.

No arrest has been announced.
