Trio sought after violent harlem mugging leaves man injured

HARLEM, NY – Police are searching for three suspects wanted in connection with a violent robbery that left a 38-year-old man injured early Saturday morning in Manhattan.

The attack occurred around 4:49 a.m. outside 500 West 145th Street, where the victim was approached by two unidentified individuals, one armed with a knife and the other wielding a blunt object.

Investigators say a struggle broke out, during which the victim was struck in the head several times.

As the assault continued, a third suspect arrived and allegedly stole approximately $150 from the victim’s pocket before all three fled in different directions.

Suspects fled in multiple directions after robbery

According to police, the first two suspects ran southbound on Amsterdam Avenue while the third fled east on 145th Street.

The man believed to have taken the cash was described as having a medium build and was last seen wearing a gray sweater.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was treated and listed in stable condition.

Detectives seek public’s help identifying attackers

Detectives from the NYPD’s 30th Precinct are reviewing area surveillance footage and canvassing nearby businesses for leads.

No arrests have been made, and police are asking anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

All calls are kept confidential as investigators work to identify the individuals responsible for the early-morning attack.
