Frederick man charged with murder after deadly stabbing inside home

Frederick, MD – A quiet residential street turned into a crime scene after a stabbing inside a home left one woman dead and two others injured, leading detectives to arrest a suspect days later on multiple violent felony charges.

Terrance Jermain Oney, 44, of Williamsport, was arrested during the early morning hours Tuesday in connection with the homicide that occurred in the 1200 block of Danielle Drive. Detectives with the Frederick Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit took Oney into custody without incident and transported him to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.

The investigation began January 26 around 6:01 a.m., when officers were called to the Danielle Drive residence for a reported stabbing. Inside the home, officers located three victims suffering from stab-related injuries. One victim, identified as 44-year-old Tia Channelle Holland of Frederick, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two additional victims were injured during the incident, including a juvenile. Police said identifying details about the surviving victims are not being released due to safety concerns and the ongoing investigation.

Oney has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of attempted second-degree murder, and three counts of first-degree assault.

The case remains under active investigation as detectives continue reviewing evidence and following up on information related to the stabbing.
