Detectives are investigating after a 9-year-old and a 15-year-old were found fatally shot Tuesday evening in Gwynn Oak.

TOWSON, MD – The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating a double homicide after two children were found fatally shot Tuesday evening in the Gwynn Oak area.

Officers responded at approximately 7:20 p.m. to the 6100 block of Talles Road, where they discovered a 9-year-old and a 15-year-old suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Detectives seeking information

The Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities have not released the identities of the victims or announced any arrests.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the case to contact the Homicide Unit at 410-887-4636 (INFO).

Reward offered for anonymous tips

Police said information may also be submitted anonymously through Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland. Tipsters can call 1-866-756-2587 (7LOCKUP) or submit information online through the organization’s website.

Authorities said information provided through Metro Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
