Bronx, NY – The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects wanted in three unrelated violent crimes and theft investigations in the Bronx and Brooklyn, including a shooting during an attempted robbery, a stabbing following a dispute, and a cellphone snatching aboard a subway train.
The incidents occurred between June 25 and Tuesday, according to information released by NYPD Crimestoppers. Detectives have not announced any arrests in any of the three cases.
Man shot in face during attempted chain robbery

According to investigators, the first incident happened Friday at approximately 7 p.m. in front of 1711 University Avenue in the Bronx. Police said an unidentified individual “attempted to remove a chain from a 55-year-old male victim’s neck but was unsuccessful.”
Authorities said the suspect then “discharged a firearm striking the 55-year-old male victim in the face” before fleeing the area in an unknown direction. Police have not released an updated condition for the victim or a description of the suspect.
Two sought after Boston Road stabbing

A second investigation stems from an assault Tuesday at approximately 2:25 p.m. outside 1149 Boston Road in the Bronx.
According to police, two unidentified individuals became involved in a verbal dispute with a 40-year-old man. Investigators said one suspect restrained the victim while the second “brandished a cutting instrument and stabbed and slashed the victim multiple times throughout the body.”
The two suspects fled after the attack. Detectives have not released additional information about the victim’s injuries or descriptions of the individuals being sought.
Cellphone stolen aboard G train

In a separate investigation, police are also searching for a suspect wanted in a grand larceny aboard a northbound “G” train.
According to the NYPD, the theft occurred Thursday, June 25, at approximately 7:15 p.m. while a 62-year-old man was riding the train at the 21 Street station. Authorities said an unidentified individual “snatched his cellphone from his hand” before fleeing.
No injuries were reported in that incident.
