Two men shot in Edgewood flee scene before crashing in Pittsburgh, police say

EDGEWOOD, PA – Two men were hospitalized after being shot in Edgewood and later crashing their vehicle in Pittsburgh Friday afternoon, according to the Allegheny County Police Department.

At approximately 4:25 p.m., County 9-1-1 received reports of gunfire on Town Centre Drive near South Braddock Avenue in Edgewood Borough. A short time later, Pittsburgh Police responded to a separate crash involving the same vehicle at the intersection of Penn and Braddock Avenues.

Officers found two adult males inside the car, each suffering from gunshot wounds to the legs. Both were transported to a nearby hospital and are listed in stable condition. Detectives from the County Police General Investigations Unit determined the victims were shot while inside their vehicle at the Edgewood scene before attempting to flee, ultimately crashing several blocks away in Pittsburgh.
