Town officials recently celebrated the opening of a new dog grooming salon and a new Middle Eastern restaurant as small business growth continues across Toms River.
TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Mayor Dan Rodrick and Councilman Craig Coleman recently welcomed two new businesses to Toms River, highlighting continued investment in the township’s local business community.
The ribbon-cutting ceremonies recognized Grooming Lounge Dog Spa on Route 37 and 7K Shawarma on Fischer Boulevard, both of which have recently opened their doors to customers.
Grooming Lounge Dog Spa opens on Route 37

Coleman attended the ribbon cutting for Grooming Lounge Dog Spa, located at 1071 Route 37 in Toms River.
According to the business, the cage-free grooming salon specializes in high-quality dog grooming services and utilizes what it describes as gentle grooming techniques and responsibly sourced products.
“This cage-free salon is known for its high quality grooming, gentle techniques, and professionalism,” township officials said in announcing the opening. “They carry only the highest quality and safest products, all responsibly sourced.”

New Middle Eastern restaurant opens on Fischer Boulevard

Rodrick and Coleman also helped cut the ribbon at 7K Shawarma, one of Toms River’s newest restaurants, located at 1177 Fischer Blvd.
The restaurant offers a menu of Middle Eastern favorites, including shawarma, falafel, salads and other traditional dishes.
“7K offers delicious Middle Eastern food, including shawarma, falafel, salads, and so much more,” township officials said. Ocean County Commissioner Jennifer Bacchione was also in attendance.
