Two teens with prior robbery arrests busted with loaded gun

Police say two 16-year-olds were arrested moments after officers received reports of armed individuals in downtown Baltimore

Baltimore, MD — Two teenagers with prior robbery arrests were taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit in downtown Baltimore, where officers recovered a loaded handgun, according to police.

The arrests occurred at approximately 8:27 p.m. Monday after Central District officers received information about armed individuals in the 300 block of Light Street.

Police said officers were provided with descriptions of the suspects and quickly located them in the area.

A brief foot chase followed before officers apprehended two 16-year-old males.

During the arrest, officers recovered a loaded handgun, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

The two juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Justice Center, where they were charged with handgun violations.

Police said both suspects have previous robbery arrests.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
