U.S. Senator, African American says liberals and left calling him ‘N-word’ and ‘Uncle Tom’

April 29, 2021

Tim Scott is an African American. He’s also a Republican. Now he’s saying that the ‘tolerant’ and ‘racially sensitive” left is attacking him for his political beliefs and are doing in a most despicable way.

“I get called Uncle Tom and the N-word by progressives, by liberals,” Senator Scott said. “Just last week, a national newspaper suggested my family’s poverty was actually a privilege because a relative owned land generations before my time.”

Scott said it is Democrats who want to racially divide America and not Republicans

“Believe me, I know firsthand our healing is not finished,” Scott said because he is a Republican. “I’m an African-American who’s voted in the south my entire life. I take voting rights personally. Republicans support making it easier to vote and harder to cheat, and so do the voters. Big majorities of Americans support early voting and a big majority support voter ID, including African-Americans and Hispanics. Common sense makes common ground, but today this conversation has collapsed.”
