BOSTON — Nine suspects were arrested last Thursday during a coordinated undercover operation targeting sexual exploitation in the Massachusetts Avenue corridor near South Bay Mall, according to Boston Police.

The initiative, carried out on July 24 by the Human Trafficking Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, aimed to disrupt sex trafficking and buyer activity in a known high-risk area. Boston Police were assisted by the Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victims Squad and the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force.

Undercover officers posed in the area to identify and apprehend those engaging in exploitation. The following individuals were taken into custody and are facing charges in South Boston District Court:

Sah Kumar Raj, 33, of Boston — Enticement of a Minor
Jason Vinci, 39, of Medford — Sex for a Fee
Jose Luis Pinedu Colocho, 47, of Dorchester — Sex for a Fee
Pradeep Mishra, 36, of Shrewsbury — Sex for a Fee
Frederick Williams, 68, of Boston — Sex for a Fee
Juan Jose Galdamez Surio, 24, of Shrewsbury — Sex for a Fee, Shoplifting, Trespassing
Konstantinos Mamanidis, 62, of Dedham — Sex for a Fee
Roberta Pena, 27, of Boston — Sex for a Fee

Police said the operation was focused on identifying traffickers and sex buyers while working to suppress the ongoing exploitation of women in the area.
