Car thieves wanted after two cars stolen in d. C.

WASHINGTON, DC — A vehicle theft in Southeast escalated to two armed carjackings, prompting a call for public assistance in identifying the suspects.

On Sunday, June 30, at approximately 6:08 p.m., the victim discovered their vehicle missing from the 2500 block of Savannah Street, Southeast. Detectives later found that two suspects had entered the vehicle and fled the scene. The vehicle has since been recovered.

Tuesday, July 2, at approximately 12:49 a.m. in the 1900 block of Calvert Street, Northwest
Wednesday, July 3, at approximately 2:45 a.m. in the 2200 block of 8th Street, Northwest

Photos of the vehicle theft suspects were captured by surveillance cameras.

Anyone with information about these suspects or incidents should contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment related to crimes in the District.
