Cops hunt trio in violent robbery as suspects caught on camera in Maryland
SILVER SPRING, Md. — A violent robbery caught on surveillance has sparked an urgent search for three suspects accused of attacking a victim outside a home in Montgomery County, officials said.
The incident unfolded around 9:03 p.m. on February 16 in the 11200 block of Oak Leaf Drive, according to Montgomery County police.
Investigators said the suspects attempted to steal property from outside the victim’s residence — but when confronted, the situation quickly turned violent.
Authorities say the trio assaulted the victim before stealing the victim’s wallet, cellphone and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspects then fled the scene.
Police describe the suspects as three Black males believed to be between 20 and 30 years old. Surveillance images released by investigators show the individuals inside what appears to be a residential or apartment building.
Detectives are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects as the investigation continues.
