Volunteers Meet Ahead of Jackson Revitalization of Memorial High School Field House

JACKSON, NJ—On Sunday, volunteers and community leaders met to devise plans to revitalize the Jackson Memorial High School field house. With the district facing tough aid reductions, volunteers are rolling up their sleeves to help out. They need $30,000 to complete the project and are raising money ahead of the upcoming project.

“I want to thank everyone who came today that made this kickoff a success,” said Council President Jennifer Kuhn.

Jackson Memorial High School is set to receive significant upgrades to its football field’s concession stand, field house, and locker rooms, thanks to a collaborative effort involving both public and private sectors. The initiative was launched on Friday by the Jackson Board of Education, Township Council President Jennifer L. Kuhn, Councilman Mordechai Burnstein, local police and fire departments, the Jackson Education Foundation, Department of Public Works, and numerous private sponsors and volunteers.

The project aims to engage the community through volunteer work and financial donations from local businesses, alumni, and residents to enhance the aging facilities. Contributions will improve the quality of the facilities, benefiting athletes, fans, and community members.

Various sponsorship opportunities are available, ranging from Bronze ($750) to Gold ($3,000), with benefits including signage, media mentions, and exclusive naming rights for top donors.

“We are organizing a special fundraiser to come together for our student athletes,” stated Council President Jennifer Kuhn. “Together, we can empower our young athletes to reach their full potential and create a brighter future for our community.”

Sponsors will also receive social media recognition, event banners, and special plaques. The overall goal is to refurbish vital spaces, boost community pride, support student development, and provide much-needed facility improvements. Tradespersons are also encouraged to volunteer their services.
