Police want help identifying the truck in the early-morning hit-and-run

NORTH YORK, PA – A white two-door work truck was caught on surveillance video hitting the corner of a North York Borough building and then leaving the scene, prompting police to release details of the vehicle in hopes of identifying who was behind the wheel.

The Northern York County Regional Police Department said the hit-and-run happened at approximately 5:54 a.m. Aug. 10 at 137 East 5th Avenue.

Surveillance video captures crash

An officer investigating the incident discovered damage to the corner of the building.

Police then located surveillance footage from nearby cameras showing the white work truck striking the building.

The truck left the scene following the collision, according to investigators.

Police described the vehicle as a white, two-door work truck. No information about the driver was released.

Police seek information

Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes the truck or has information about the crash to contact the Northern York County Regional Police Department.
