Republic man wins $500,000 top prize on Holiday Cash Vault ticket

REPUBLIC, OH – One lucky man in Republic is kicking off the holiday season with a $500,000 lottery win after purchasing a Holiday Cash Vault scratch-off ticket that delivered one of the game’s top prizes.

Donald, the winner, bought the $10 ticket at Bellevue Food Center, located at 200 Castalia Street in Bellevue. After state and federal tax withholdings, he will take home $364,375.

The Holiday Cash Vault ticket launched recently as part of the Ohio Lottery’s seasonal lineup and offers players a chance at one of five $500,000 top prizes. As of Thursday, four top prizes remain unclaimed.

The win comes just as the holiday season begins, adding a financial boost and festive spirit for the winner and the community.

The retailer, Bellevue Food Center, will also receive a bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $34 billion to support education in the state.
