14-Year-Old Girl Shot in Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 14-year-old girl was shot Wednesday morning in Southeast Washington, prompting an ongoing investigation.

Around 10 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Bangor Street, where they found the girl with a gunshot wound. She was transported to the hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and have not confirmed if it occurred on Bangor Street.
