Fugitive Killer Behind Bars in Columbus After Two Years on the Run

Columbus, OH — Larry Hutson, 52, was arrested on October 16, 2023, in connection to a 2021 homicide. Hutson was apprehended by the Columbus Police SWAT and the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) on an outstanding warrant for murder and weapons under disability.

According to a press release from the Columbus Division of Police, Hutson is accused of carrying out the shooting on March 9, 2021, in the 2000 block of Winslow Drive that resulted in the death of Felecia Lane. The arrest took place in the 3000 block of East 7th Avenue.

Hutson has been taken into custody and is currently being held at the Franklin County Jail. “Officers apprehended the wanted fugitive on October 16, 2023, in the 3000 block of East 7th Avenue. He is now in the custody of the Franklin County Jail,” stated the Columbus Division of Police.
