Fatal Shooting in D.C. Restaurant Leaves One Man Dead

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A fatal shooting inside a restaurant in Northwest D.C. has prompted an investigation by the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch. The incident occurred early Saturday morning in the 1300 block of U Street.

Officers from the Third District, while patrolling the area, heard gunshots at approximately 1:12 a.m. and responded to the scene. They found 43-year-old Kenneth Goins of Salisbury, MD, inside the restaurant with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate lifesaving attempts, Goins was pronounced dead at the scene.
