BALTIMORE, MD — A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred in the Southern District earlier this week.
On June 9, Melvin Scott of Baltimore was taken into custody following a car stop in the 800 block of Seagull Avenue. He was transported to Central Booking and charged in the shooting death of 47-year-old Adam Brown.
Brown was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside a residence in the 3400 block of Round Road around 9:16 p.m. on June 8. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Police arrest suspect day after fatal shooting
The arrest came just one day after the incident, following an investigation by Southern District homicide detectives. The motive for the shooting has not been disclosed.
Scott remains in custody as the case proceeds through the judicial process.
