NEW YORK CITY, NY — An investigation is underway following a shooting incident on Staten Island, where a 22-year-old woman was shot in the head early Friday morning.
The New York Police Department is handling the case, which took place around 12:25 a.m. on Brook Street in Tompkinsville.
Emergency services swiftly transported the victim to Richmond University Medical Center.
Upon their arrival, they found the woman alert and able to communicate, despite the severity of her injury.
Currently, no suspects have been apprehended, and the NYPD has not provided a description of the assailant. The investigation remains active.
