A Hudson Valley lottery player won a $50,000 third prize in the June 27 Powerball drawing.
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Monroe for the June 27 drawing, according to the New York Lottery.
The third-prize-winning ticket was purchased at O’Toole’s Pub, located at 15 Stage Road in Monroe, Orange County.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. The game uses five white balls drawn from a field of one through 69 and one red Powerball drawn from a separate field of one through 26.
Powerball prizes must generally be claimed within one year of the drawing date in New York.
The New York Lottery said it contributed $3.8 billion during fiscal year 2023-24 to support public schools across the state.
