MIDDLETOWN, PA – A 20-year-old woman was charged on Monday with filing a false police report about an attempted rape and kidnapping in the parking lot of the Redner’s in the township last month.
Anjela Borisova Urumova, of Bristol Township, faced charges including false alarm to an agency of public safety and tampering with physical evidence, as well as counts of false reports and unsworn falsification to authorities.
She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Charles D. Jonas and remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility under a $30,000 bail, 10 percent.
The man implicated in the attack, Daniel Pierson, was released from BCCF on Friday after investigations revealed inconsistencies in Urumova’s account of the incident.

Wilkes-Barre, PA – A late-night call about a disorderly female ended with the arrest of a wanted fugitive Tuesday after officers discovered the woman involved had an active out-of-state warrant.
Dakota Woodard, 28, of Wilkes-Barre, was taken into custody around 11:17 p.m. after officers responded to a residence on Lanning Lane for a disturbance report. During the investigation, police determined that Woodard had an outstanding warrant issued by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.
She was arrested on the spot and transported to city headquarters before being taken to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
No additional details regarding the original charges from Florida were immediately available. The case remains under review.

The jackpot-winning ticket matched the numbers 5, 12, 19, 29, and 39 to win $2,019,939.50, less applicable withholding. It was sold at GIANT Food Stores, located at 4655 Perkiomen Avenue in Reading. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The prize marks one of the largest recent Cash 5 with Quick Cash wins in the state. More than 37,200 other tickets also won prizes in the same drawing.
The winning player has one year from the date of the drawing to claim the Cash 5 prize. Winners of any Quick Cash instant game included with the $2 ticket also have one year from the date of purchase to claim. The winning ticket was sold at Davan’s Delite, located at 1235 PA-29 North in Tunkhannock. The player matched the numbers 6, 16, 33, 40, and 62, with the Powerball number 2. The Power Play multiplier drawn was two, doubling the third-tier prize from $50,000 to $100,000.
Davan’s Delite will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Winners remain unidentified until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Powerball winners in Pennsylvania have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. Tickets purchased in-store must be signed immediately, while online wins are automatically processed into the winner’s account.

Lancaster, PA – A Maryland man accused of trying to shoot a woman to death as she sat in her car on a Lancaster city street has waived his preliminary hearing, allowing his case to move forward to county court.
David Terrell Porter Jr., 29, of Bowie, Maryland, is facing charges of attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment following a June 29 incident in the first block of Caroline Street.
According to police, the victim was sitting in the driver’s seat of her vehicle shortly after midnight when Porter allegedly approached and fired two rounds into the car. Both bullets struck the driver’s side, but the victim was not physically injured.
Porter waived his preliminary hearing before Judge Adam Witkonis on July 29. He remains held in Lancaster County Prison on $900,000 bail.
The charges were filed by Lancaster City Bureau of Police Officer Gunnar Royer. Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Ponessa will prosecute the case.
No motive or further details about the relationship between Porter and the victim have been disclosed publicly.
