NEW YORK, NY—A robbery occurred early Sunday morning when a taxicab driver was assaulted and robbed by three passengers. The incident took place at approximately 12:45 AM at 3699 Bainbridge Avenue. Upon the cab’s arrival at the destination, all three individuals entered the vehicle. One of the passengers brandished a knife while the others forcibly took approximately $270 from the 28-year-old driver.
Following the robbery, the suspects fled the scene on foot heading southbound on Jerome Avenue. The driver, fortunately, did not sustain any injuries during the encounter.

The suspects are described as follows: The first is a male with a light complexion and slim build, last seen wearing brown sweatpants, a blue hoody, and black and yellow Jordan 4 retro sneakers. The second is a male with a dark complexion and slim build, sporting dreadlocks, dressed in a black Ed Hardy sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and a black satin cap. The third individual, also with a dark complexion and slim build, was wearing a black hoody, black sweatpants, and black and yellow Jordan 4 retro sneakers.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident or the whereabouts of the suspects to come forward to help with the ongoing investigation.
