WASHINGTON, DC—A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a severe assault incident that occurred in the 1400 block of L Street, Southeast. Deamonte Brooks of Southeast is facing charges of First-Degree Sexual Abuse While Armed.
The incident took place on April 1, while the victim was delivering food at the specified location.
Brooks allegedly approached the victim with a knife and forced them into engaging in non-consensual sexual acts. Following an investigation, Brooks was apprehended on Wednesday under a DC Superior Court arrest warrant.
