Virginia Beach Police Arrest Suspect in Hampshire Lane Shooting Incident

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) has announced the arrest of 58-year-old Mario Feather in connection with a shooting that occurred last month on Hampshire Lane.

The incident came to light early on May 19, 2024, when a male gunshot victim presented himself at Norfolk General Hospital around 1:11 a.m. He reported to detectives that he was shot around midnight while on the 5700 block of Hampshire Lane.

After a detailed investigation, VBPD detectives issued felony warrants for Feather, a Virginia Beach resident, charging him with Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Discharge of a Firearm in a Public Place. Feather was successfully apprehended on June 10, 2024.
