Washington, D.C. — Authorities have arrested a juvenile suspect in connection with an unarmed carjacking in Northeast D.C.
On Tuesday, June 18, at 6:16 p.m., two suspects approached a victim in the 900 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northeast. They demanded the victim exit his vehicle and took the vehicle keys before fleeing the scene in the stolen car.
Shortly after, officers located the stolen vehicle in the 1700 block of First Street, Northwest. One of the suspects was seen exiting the vehicle and was promptly arrested, while the second suspect escaped on foot.
Following an investigation, a 13-year-old male from Northwest D.C. was arrested and charged with Unarmed Carjacking.
