The BTMUA recommends several practical measures to help conserve water:

Homes with even-numbered addresses are asked to irrigate on even-numbered days, and those with odd-numbered addresses on odd-numbered days.
Residents are encouraged to use a hand-held hose for watering trees and landscaped areas instead of sprinkler systems.
Cleaning driveways and sidewalks should be done with a broom or blower rather than hosing them down.
The use of commercial car washes that recycle water is advised over washing vehicles at home.
