UTICA, NY — A 21-year-old Utica resident, Abdullah Williams, was arrested on June 28th by the Utica Police Department following allegations of sexual assault that reportedly occurred the previous evening.
The incident, which took place on June 27th, involved allegations that Williams had non-consensual sexual intercourse with a female. The Utica Police were notified of the incident on June 18th, leading to a detailed investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division.
After thorough interviews with witnesses and the collection of physical evidence, authorities charged Williams with rape in the third degree. The investigation continues as the police department works to provide justice and support for the victim.
