Child Reported Dead In Bayonne Apartment Fire

Bayonne, NJ – The Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force and the Bayonne Fire Department are investigating a fire that resulted in the death of one child on Avenue C and 18th Street. The incident occurred just before midnight on Sunday.

Authorities have not yet released the name, age, or gender of the deceased child. The fire happened behind a playground, and the cause is still under investigation.

The Red Cross is providing emergency assistance to seven people from three affected families. More details will be released as the investigation progresses.
