Young Woman Gunned Down in Fort Dupont Park in D.C., Suspect at Large

Washington, DC – The D.C. Metro Police Department is actively investigating a homicide following a fatal shooting in Fort Dupont Park.

On Saturday afternoon, July 13, around 2:30 p.m., Sixth District officers were called to an area near the 3300 block of Fort DuPont Drive, Southeast, where they discovered an unconscious female with a gunshot wound. Emergency responders from DC Fire and EMS pronounced her dead at the scene after finding no signs of life.

The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Ambria Farmer from District Heights, MD.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this homicide.
