Brooklyn Burglary Attempt Thwarted But Not Before Suspect Was Captured on Video

BROOKLYN, NY — A burglary attempt was reported in a residential building at the intersection of Melrose Street and Broadway on Sunday night.

At approximately 11:55 PM, an unidentified male unlawfully gained entry into the building through the roof and attempted to steal property.

The suspect, described as having a dark complexion with a gray and black beard and slim build, was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, grey sweatpants, and black and white shoes.

He fled the scene heading westbound on Melrose Street. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.

Authorities are actively seeking the suspect and request that anyone with information contact local law enforcement to assist with the ongoing investigation.
