Jackson liberty hands memorial first loss of seasonJACKSON-Jackson Liberty’s football team finally did it.  This weekend, the team, for their first time in program history, defeated crosstown rivals Jackson Memorial on the football field.

After a series of crushing losses through the years, the Lions shutout the Jaguars 14-0 on Friday night.

Jake Bosco and Joe Divito each scored touchdowns for the Lions.   Devito and Shane Simmons also had two key interceptions during the game.

After the game fans rushed the field to celebrate a historic moment in the school’s twelve-year history.  The Jags have defeated the Lions in ten consecutive previous matchups.   For the Jaguars, it was the most points scored against the team the entire season.

Coming into the game the Jags were undefeated 5-0.
