Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Dormont

Dormont, PA – The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal traffic collision involving a motorcycle in Dormont.

On Sunday at 10:42 PM, County 9-1-1 received a report of a vehicle striking a motorcycle near the intersection of Pioneer Avenue and West Liberty Avenue. First responders discovered an adult male motorcyclist critically injured. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

Preliminary information indicates that the driver of the striking vehicle, a red Ford Taurus, fled the scene on foot along with an adult female and a small child. Detectives from Allegheny County Police and Dormont Police are collaborating efforts to identify the individuals involved.
