UTICA, N.Y. — On September 26, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Utica Police responded to a home invasion robbery on the 700 block of Lenox Avenue. According to police, two victims reported that three males, two of whom they did not know, forcibly entered their residence armed with knives and guns, demanding money and property.

The victims complied, handing over cash and other belongings while being threatened with the weapons. The suspects also attempted, but failed, to rip a television from the wall before fleeing the scene.

Following the incident, the case was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. A “Be on the Lookout” (BOLO) alert was issued for one of the known suspects. On September 29, an officer with the Patrol Division located and arrested Angel Daniel Cajilema-Sanaguaray, 26, of Utica without incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet released information regarding the other two suspects involved in the robbery.
