Boston, MA – On Thursday at approximately 7:00 PM, law enforcement agencies collaborated to arrest Diamond Jose Brito, 32, of Canton. The arrest occurred at 10 Temple Street, Mattapan. Brito faces several warrants from Dorchester District Court in connection with the murder of Elijah Ricardo Clunie, 20, of Dorchester. He is scheduled for arraignment on Friday at Dorchester District Court.

The arrest is linked to events from Monday, September 2, when Dorchester officers responded to a shooting at 184 Washington Street. Upon arrival, they discovered two adult male victims with gunshot injuries. While both were taken to local hospitals, Clunie succumbed to his injuries. The second victim, who remains unnamed, is expected to survive.
