WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man was brutally assaulted early on October 27th. One man was hospitalized, which has prompted an urgent search for multiple suspects, who were caught on nearby surveillance cameras. The attack took place around 1:42 a.m. in the 1900 block of 14th Street, Northwest, and involved several individuals who assaulted the victim, officials said.
The man, whose injuries were described as significant but not life-threatening, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Law enforcement released images of the suspects, asking the public for assistance in identifying them but advising against any direct engagement.
Investigators are probing whether the assault may have been motivated by hate or bias, though they noted that this classification could change as new information emerges. The Metropolitan Police Department’s Special Liaison Branch, which handles cases involving potential hate crimes, is involved in the investigation.
