13-year-old with a history of robbery arrests nabbed in handgun seizure

BALTIMORE, MD — A 13-year-old boy was arrested Saturday evening in Baltimore’s Western District after officers seized a loaded handgun during an investigation.

The arrest occurred around 8:48 p.m. in the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, where Western District Action Team officers were conducting an investigation. The juvenile, already known to authorities for prior robbery arrests, was taken into custody during the operation.

Police confiscated a loaded firearm from the boy, who was later transported to the Juvenile Justice Facility for processing. The minor now faces charges related to the handgun violation.

The juvenile has been previously arrested three times on robbery charges, according to police.

This incident underscores ongoing efforts by Baltimore law enforcement to address gun violence and illegal firearm possession in the city.
