ROCKVILLE, MD — A 13-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with two commercial burglaries early Tuesday morning, allegedly committed alongside an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old, according to Montgomery County police.

Officers from the 1st District responded at approximately 1 a.m. on November 19 to Superior Auto Service on the 12200 block of Wilkins Avenue for a reported burglary. Investigators determined the three juveniles forced their way into the business, stole property, and fled the scene.

While police were still on-site investigating, a second burglary was reported at RMA Transportation, located nearby. Police said the juveniles entered the building, which was closed, but were confronted by employees still inside. The juveniles fled, but officers later located them in the area, with stolen items in their possession.

The 11 and 12-year-olds were released to their guardians, while the 13-year-old was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and conspiracy before also being released to a guardian.

Police confirmed no injuries were reported during the incidents, and the investigation remains ongoing.
